The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 立意还是不错的，也很感人，老年题材也很少有人触及。但是整体制作还是有些粗糙的，整体故事也流于隔靴搔痒，还是可以继续打磨，是一个很值得期待的年轻导演。
#PYIFF 首映#前半部分中老两代的生活流，后半部分围绕父亲建立冲突.剧本的问题挺大的，不仅人物的行为有矛盾，而且单单围绕父亲的老年痴呆去展开的一系列情节并依托不起几段关系的复杂情感.节奏有些过慢，几处超现实场景也感觉跳脱，理解不到其中试图外化的情感
虽然最后我眼眶还是不争气地湿润了，但为什么现在还在拍人鱼公主啊？无语

画风挺美，其他都啥玩意儿，简直浪费了这么好的制作，男主情感转变很突兀，没什么铺垫，忽然就蹦出一句遇到女主自己才变得完整，看得我满脸问号
感觉女主有点出戏，特别是推着轮椅带爸爸往雾中走了时候，舞台感有点强。好多长镜头还挺不错的，一直在家中的小空间转，有种大家都被困住的感觉。
我真的服了，这样的作画，这样的设定，这样的投资，怎么能搞出个这样的剧情，真的服了，我好恨啊，不会老虚就写完设定就跑了吧
