The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 画风成了手绘风，比于flash有了不少的进步。但是剧情太low了，带不动。而且和其他动物电影相比，这部的做工太糙了，也难怪票房这么低，其次就是分层不明确，到底是面向成年观众还是儿童都没有分清。但是作为篮球电影，国内外都少有的，还是以鼓励为主

原本电视版各个角色形象鲜明，为什么电影版要把所有人的脸都设计成一个德行。

剧情白开水，离队，组队，队员心结解开，赢得比赛。加了些怀旧彩蛋与编剧职场经验，这部动画的受众该是，学习不好，但喜欢打篮球（篮球可换成任何娱乐），不被家长理解，在这部电影找共鸣的学生群体。考虑到多年前的观众们长大成人，蹩手蹩脚加入亲情线。两个父亲夜间交心，一个送外卖的，一个职场打工人。简单几句对话，直逼人脸的说教方式，令人反感。
鞋店里一闪而过的镜头里，青涩的3号一个crossover晃过了一头牛。
