The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 山田洋次的電影真的是要耐下性子來看，還是可以打高分的電影。
把茨威格小说改了人物设计和背景，纳粹想用监禁从奥地利律师嘴里套出密码，却不想监禁成就了一位象棋大师。电影里是单独被关在酒店房间里隔离了一年，出来后战胜世界冠军，不知道疫情之后国内会出现多少象棋大师。男主角前些年有部电影《希特勒回来了》，更好看。
哭死，从来没有见过如此庶民生活的视角讲述关于电影制作的回忆，山田洋次导演温暖的讲述真的让人对当年的生活心生向往

浓浓的怀旧感，几个主要人物的形象还是有些苍白。
难道只有音乐文学舞蹈才能称为精神世界？
但是除了男主别的都是纸片人。
交错时空的表现手法很好，但是悬疑诡异的气氛似乎不同于原著。如果女主角换人就更好了，虽然妻子的角色无关紧要。
影视民工许多地方都有共鸣（懂自懂🥲）其实反而觉得两段故事的衔接这样做才好，不必批评故事老套幼稚，写的就是那些自我怀疑没有才华的时刻，这也是片子与作者的关系，对于90岁的山田洋次来说，比起精雕细琢，已经更在意快乐看电影本身。
剧本问题？？感觉演员都好几场都很生硬，转场很差，破叙事。
以及才能是一回事，怎么对待亲人和自己是另一回事。
电影本身3星。茨威格，还有电影的营造，加1星鼓励。看过原著，电影有故弄玄虚的感觉，不如小说精彩。
感觉跟着老头一样的人多了去了吧，到最后才醒悟，来得及么？北川景子真漂亮啊！
一部老年人拍给老年人看的电影，描述了一个电影神话，也衬托出这个社会已经是垂垂老矣，暮年的气氛太强烈了。
又一部迷影电影，由衷敬佩山田洋次导演。
