The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 脱去商业片外壳的西部爽片，画风低调沉稳，搭配紧张刺激的故事情节，叙事简单粗暴，节奏绝不拖泥带水，每个人物包括猪全部个性鲜明，说话做事都符合人物设定，隐姓埋名的杀人犯，警匪勾结的余党残虐，叛逆无处安放的小儿子，亲眼见证浪子回头的大舅哥，尔虞我诈，复杂的人性博弈，最后政治正确的送走所有有罪之人，小儿子代表新世界踏上征途，好久没看过这么纯粹利落的西部电影，很过瘾
氛围感有了，但是不交代下之前发生的事还是有点儿云里雾里
前半部分一直在吐槽儿子，最后老亨利一段话觉得原来培养一个平凡普通的儿子是他的欣慰之处，老亨利果然很能打，一个打九个很可以！高手身上总有种又稳又坦荡的感觉！
我居然……被這種……如此俗套的故事……感動了……
几个演员，简单的剧本，不过节奏把握得很好，同类佳作

21/11/5：想不到西部片能有一丝回光返照
就是不知不觉看完了，一个半小时，说明逻辑没问题，节奏紧凑。挺喜欢主人公的性格，隐忍克制，但是就像好汉歌一样，该出手时就出手。
西部片坚硬强悍粗糙的质感 角色像unforgivable里的东木
依旧保持西部片的精神内核，只是结局隐喻着西部片没落的现实，而这种现实大概起于三十年之前。
3.5，故事很简单，但是完成的非常高，大量的环境描写有别于传统的西部片
太多售卖廉价情感的电影的现在，这样的电影算是少有了。
悠扬低沉的大提琴声，伴随着广袤荒凉的西部景色，一个简单的故事缓缓拉开序幕。平实的故事和叙述，唯一的小反转就是最后那一枪，不过想到前面他教儿子怎么开枪，那么让儿子开枪的原因就昭然若揭了。很舒服的观影体验！

这么怀念比利小子？让他起死回生再大战一场？炒的冷饭中规中矩，惜乎没有以往西部片的感觉了，豪情？勇敢？
