The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 不懂潮汕话的人是get不到里面方言的笑点，很多土话现在的年轻人很难听到了。

质朴的作品，有风情，有诚意，有情怀，但故事层面还是普通，笑点虽密但大多局限于潮汕语言梗上，情节的推进也较为一般。
也可以透过表象的问题，看出一个更深层次的事实。

好片，朴实的现代生活，很温馨很自然也好不美饰矛盾的存在，结局还是理想化了

妈妈太自然了，显得其他人演技略拉，结尾的转折太过轻易突兀。但是潮汕人民太好玩了哈哈哈哈。
年轻一辈的演技让人有点难顶，但老一辈演得很真实，故事乏善可陈，但是毕竟是难得的方言电影，希望以后有更多更好的
