The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 拍摄人角度可能想思辨法律和道德的角逐，双刃剑让原告和被告两败俱伤，其实在很多保守一点的观众角度这官司被告必须判刑，明摆着违背妇女意愿，讨论的焦点不在双方社会关系，而是构成犯罪的必要因素，被告为人再好也没有用。
