The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 《电影之神》不就是《开罗紫玫瑰》？北川景子的脸太过现代了吧。略煽情。“请你暂且乖乖地看电影过生活吧”，看到这句台词心里默默回答：好的。
没看过原著，单论电影真的非常精妙。开头让人以为是双线叙事，随着主角在船上精神错乱出现端倪。中段本以为是先后发生的事件开始交错，并且频率逐渐密集，营造了一种惊悚的氛围，最后拿回手表的一刻让观众恍然大悟。奥德赛和象棋，凭借这两个媒介，男主角在脑海里自导自演了一趟旅行和一场棋局，最后走出酒店与船靠岸的情景交相辉映，实在是动人心弦。叔的演技可太好了，让人心都揪成一团。摄影讲究，真是赏心悦目。
电影的缘分真的妙不可言！美中不足就是剧本获奖过于刻意和美好了……
