The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 自由的代价高昂，这部电影在冲突中走向共识，底层人民的握手言和却无法让上层满意，因为他们要的就是冲突来巩固他们的统治。内奸的戏份对于剧情来说有些许多余，但依照事实改编，可能也无可奈何。
