The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 叙事是片段式的，对于不了解传记片主人公的观众会觉得混乱。用音乐串起情绪效果很好。加菲的表演其实不够深入，演唱部分倒是卖力。

感谢一位天才纪念一位天才！操蛋的2021看过最好的电影，比身在高地好太多…加菲完全就是个优秀音乐剧演员！最后这首歌真是太适合每一位年轻人！
相较电影似乎更应该被称作数字化音乐剧，然而毕竟是不同的艺术方式，在音乐剧中时髦的东西说实话早已经是影视中的普及技巧；安德鲁演得好棒。
但几首歌曲外加加菲的表演实在是太好听太好看了！！希望加菲能够拿到影帝，胜在讨喜。
形式&主题，很明显是冲小金人去的。但相比lalaland，并未感觉有高出哪一块的叙述表达。评委们应该也很难把大奖，事隔五年之后再颁给同类型的影片吧。
看到最后才反应过来这是部传记片，在不知道故事的前提下，叙事是略微有点乱的——而且不知道为什么前面的主题是年轻艺术家的焦虑，后面又变成了反艾滋病歧视，割裂感过于明显。

剥开音乐剧的壳，内核就是个三十岁焦虑的故事，不是粉丝，没有共鸣。
原来说的是Rent的作者，失敬失敬，这么多年了也没去Broadway看一场。加菲演技时刻，这几年选片都很棒。以及，在这个节点上看一个纽约客步入30真的太有共鸣了！They're singing, "Happy birthday"
