The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 伊斯特伍德在这部片子里确实老了。不是老而弥坚，也不是英雄迟暮，而是一个固执老头逐渐凋零，走不动路的那种老。
91岁的东木老爷子绝对是世界上最后一个真正的牛仔。。。但最孤峭的身躯也敌不过时间。90岁又骑马又拳击又泡妞，反而拳拳挥空，让故事看起来好假。。而且这片子节奏叙事乃至细节也均不在老爷子正常水准之列
好像影射了些东西，但重要的是表达了对过去执着的松手，反而轻松的更沉重
