The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 好片，这才是我想看到的六十年代，三个极左群体都特别鲜明，唯一可惜的是黑豹党戏份偏少了（虽然那句can you breathe一定是在指代BLM了）。少搞点Joker这样的假大空吧，历史里的真刀真枪还还嫌少吗？

节奏非常好 最后一场戏的余味让我这两天跑步一直在想
密不透风，繁杂错综，却清晰。看完这样的电影站起来，有种很过瘾的感觉。虽然不清楚是理想主义又高扬了一把，还是理想主义又碎了一地。从比重上说，背景交待仓促了些，整个故事（各路人马）像是只为匆匆奔向那个法庭、那场冗长的审判。

在此时这部电影的社会意义大于电影本身。拍的中规中矩，反派塑造的太不立体，尤其是大法官傻的莫名其妙。复杂度密度很高～Abbie和Tom两个不同文化派系的矛盾和融合拍的喜欢。

庭审戏并不沉闷，全程靠一种情绪（也可以说是煽动性）在撑着，可能这就是国内大多数影视公司想要的共情共鸣共振吧。
？？？？？？这个结尾猝不及防。电影本身可谓poorly directed，但索金确实是对话交锋的圣手，仅靠对话去推镜头剧情等一切也能让人体内涌起生理反应的鸡血，并或多或少在他的mansplaining中有所感。（话语权如此性命攸关所以这一整部电影满满当当充斥话语。）（故事中六十年代芝加哥的一切都是为了激励人投票所以这部电影本质也是投票广告。）（顺便，你们知道hayden后来娶了简方达吗。）
索金成为一流导演的最大障碍就是他是超一流编剧。
